Our state-of-the-art Dissolved Air Flotation Systems (DAFF) are typical for the removal of dissolved/suspended oil/scum etc. Our DAFs are the ideal solution for the oil industry/slaughterhouse/dairy etc. where a large oily problem exists is wastewater.
Working principle
Dissolved Air Flotation Systems are designed to remove suspended solids (TSS), biochemical oxygen demand (BOD5), and grease (O&G) from wastewater streams. Contaminants are removed by using an aqueous solution of dissolved air produced by injecting air under pressure into a circulating stream of clarified DAF effluent. This circulating stream then mixes and mixes with the incoming wastewater in an internal contact chamber, where dissolved air comes out of solution in the form of micron-sized bubbles attached to the contaminants. Air bubbles and contaminants rise to the surface and form a floating bed of material, which is removed by a surface skimmer into an internal hopper for further processing.
