Dissolved Air Flotation Device is an advanced technology for treating water and wastewater. It effectively removes suspended solids, grease, sludge and other solid particles by dissolving air in water and then releasing bubbles under high pressure. This equipment is commonly used in industrial and urban sewage treatment plants, as well as other places where efficient removal of solids and grease is required.

Working Principle

1. Pressurized Dissolved Air
Before entering the flotation tank, the sewage is first sent to the dissolved air tank. In the dissolved air tank, the air is forced to dissolve in the sewage by pressurization, so that the air reaches a supersaturated state in the sewage.
2. Decompression Release
The sewage with a large amount of air then enters the flotation tank and is suddenly decompressed by a pressure reducing valve or a releaser. The sudden drop in pressure causes the air dissolved in the water to precipitate rapidly in the form of tiny bubbles.
3. Bubble Attachment
These tiny bubbles meet and attach to the pollutant particles in the water during the rise process. Pollutant particles are usually hydrophobic and easily combine with bubbles.
4. Floating Separation
The pollutant particles attached with bubbles have an overall density less than that of water, so they float up to the water surface to form a scum layer.
5. Remove scum
The scum layer is scraped off by the scraping device, thereby separating the pollutants from the water.

Product composition

1. Gas generator, which is used to dissolve air in water.
2. Pressure release valve, which is used to generate tiny bubbles in water.
3. Flotation tank, which is where the bubbles come into contact with the suspended matter and adsorb it.
4. Clean water outlet, which is used to discharge the treated water.
