Superficial Shallow Dissolved Air Flotation is used to treat wastewater containing free floating or emulsified oils, dissolved heavy metals, soaps, surfactants and many others. With the characteristics of low energy consumption, high treatment efficiency, simple installation and maintenance, etc., it is currently one of the most popular dissolved air flotation clarifiers in China.
Working principle
Removal is achieved by dissolving air in water or wastewater under pressure and releasing the air at atmospheric pressure in a flotation cell. The released air forms tiny air bubbles that attach to the suspended matter, causing it to float to the surface where it can then be removed by the skimmer.
Our DAF unit designs utilize parallel plate packing materials such as flakes to provide more separation surface and thus increase the separation efficiency of the unit.
