Description

Product Description
Dissolved air flotation DAF sewage treatment is an efficient and effective wastewater purification method. It is a reliable and cost-effective method to remove unwanted substances from domestic and industrial wastewater and produce clean water that meets discharge standards.

Working principle
DAF is a technology that uses tiny air bubbles to remove particles from wastewater. The process involves dissolving air into water under high pressure and releasing it into a flotation tank. The air bubbles stick to suspended particles in the water, causing them to rise to the surface where they can be easily skimmed off. The result is clean, clear water that can be safely discharged into the environment.

Advantage
One of the main advantages of DAF is its versatility. It effectively removes a wide range of contaminants including chemicals, oils, fats and solids. This makes it ideal for a variety of wastewater treatment applications, including municipal and industrial wastewater, food processing, pulp and paper manufacturing, and oil and gas production.
Another advantage of DAF is its lower operating and maintenance costs. Unlike other wastewater treatment technologies, DAF requires minimal chemical additives and energy to operate, making it a more sustainable and economical wastewater treatment solution.

Three key aspects of dissolved air flotation DAF sewage treatment
1. Air Dissolution: In the DAF process, air is dissolved into the wastewater under pressure. This is accomplished by introducing wastewater into a specially designed tank or pool and increasing the pressure. The increased pressure causes air to dissolve into the water, forming tiny bubbles.
2. Bubble Attachment: Once the air is dissolved, the wastewater is released into a flotation tank or pool. As the pressure decreases, the dissolved air escapes from the solution in the form of small bubbles. These bubbles attach to suspended solids and oil droplets in the wastewater, forming flocs or aggregates.
3. Separation: The floc formed by the attached bubbles rises to the surface of the flotation tank, forming a layer of sludge or scum. This layer is then removed using mechanical means, such as a skimmer or scraper. Clarified water is collected from the bottom of the tank and discharged or further treated if necessary.
