Product Description
Daf unit dissolved air flotation is a water treatment process that purifies wastewater by removing suspended solids. Removal is achieved by dissolving air in water or wastewater under pressure and releasing the air at atmospheric pressure in a flotation cell.
Feature
DAF is added when the sludge is less dense than water or neutrally buoyant. DAF uses billions of microbubbles that attach to the flocs and bring them to the surface. These air bubbles are called "white water" and are removed by mechanical skimmers within the DAF unit, which skim off floating sludge.
