DAF system water treatment plant is a device for separating solid particles, fats and oils, designed to clarify wastewater (industrial and municipal) or to condition surface or sea water for subsequent treatment and reuse. The DAF system water treatment plant separates solids, fats and oils from the water, producing a high concentration of sludge. Working principle

The DAF system water treatment plant is designed to remove Total Suspended Solids (TSS), Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) and Oils and Oils (O&G) from wastewater streams. Contaminants are removed using a dissolved air-in-water solution produced by injecting air under pressure into a circulating stream of clarified DAF effluent. This circulating stream then mixes and mixes with the incoming wastewater in an internal contacting chamber, where dissolved air exits the solution in the form of micron-sized bubbles that adhere to the contaminants. Air bubbles and contaminants rise to the surface and form a floating bed of material, which is removed by a surface skimmer into an internal hopper for further processing.
