The Shallow Dissolved Air Flotation Machine is a water treatment process that purifies wastewater (or other water) by removing suspended matter such as oil or solids.

Removal is accomplished by dissolving air in water or wastewater under pressure and then releasing atmospheric pressure of air in the flotation cell basin.

The released air forms tiny air bubbles that stick to the suspended matter, allowing it to float to the surface, where it can then be removed by a skimming device.

How Shallow Dissolved Air Flotation Machine Works

Wastewater from the balance tank enters RT1 (coagulation reaction tank) and RT2 (flocculation reaction tank) through the lift pump, and coagulates with PAC to form flocs (PAM), which form flocs respectively.

Then the wastewater and dissolved water enter the reaction zone of the DAF tank, and the microbubbles and flocs in the dissolved water are mixed and adhered to form solid particles with a density lower than that of water, which float to the surface of the DAF tank.

Under the action of buoyancy, the scum is scraped to the slag pool. The clean water is collected down to the water collecting tank through the water collecting pipe, most of the outer layer water is discharged (or enters the next process), and a small part of the water is recycled to form dissolved water.
